Production Planner / Master Scheduler

About the position The Global Operations Group brings information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing together to drive the engine of our global business operations. We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam's business. Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle. Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements. Coordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules. Master Scheduler: Provides input to management; schedules and/or interfaces with marketing, sales, production and engineering managers. Works to resolve (in case of design changes) labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions. Oversees the master schedules and ensures comprehensive compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing. Responsibilities β€’ Manages PC Planning activities related to logistics and manufacturing schedule milestones β€’ Responsible for work order / material reservation management, including converting planned orders to work orders/reservations, monitoring, and adjusting production schedules for timely delivery β€’ On time closure of work orders orders/back flushing β€’ Work order variance analysis and reconciliation β€’ Monitor inventory locations and works cross functionally to resolve line side inventory variances and increase inventory turns and accuracy β€’ Works with Supply Chain and Spares Planning on material allocation for constrained suppliers β€’ Identify material shortages, assess risk, and communicate updates to order fulfillment and manufacturing β€’ May perform world-wide inventory assessment to mitigate manufacturing shortages β€’ Review bill of material change orders and executes them appropriately β€’ Attend daily cross-functional meetings to prioritize and plan production control activities to maintain on-time delivery β€’ Investigate problems in the production control process, analyze root causes, and coordinate resolution Requirements β€’ Bachelor's Degree in Business or related disciplines β€’ Three (3) years related experience, preferably working in repetitive lean manufacturing and / or experience in a pulse line manufacturing environment β€’ High level proficiency in SAP or comparable MRP systems β€’ Excellent written/oral communication skills with ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization β€’ Experience working in a dynamic, and fast paced business environment β€’ Ability to demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills Apply tot his job
