Position: Production Manager/Customer Service Representative
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Production Manager/Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of job production from start to finish and be capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, self-motivation, trustworthy, dependable and adaptability are essential qualities.
Responsibilities
Engineer and manage a wide variety of jobs/projects from start to finish including interpreting customer requirements, developing and managing timelines throughout the production process and ensuring quality throughout the process.
Effectively manage communications with sales representatives, customers, outside services and internal departments.
Responsible for ensuring job specifications are clearly communicated to all departments. Interpret customer purchase orders/instructions accurately and provide clear, detailed instructions to the manufacturing team.
Demonstrate a basic understanding of all printing departments, including:
Digital Department
Prepress
Press Room
Bindery
Shipping
Mailing
Manage jobs to estimated costs and ensure each are handled in most cost efficient manner.
May include other duties.
Skills and Qualifications
Must be detailed oriented and have strong organizational skills.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong customer service skills.
Strong multi-tasking skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at one time.
Ability to manage schedules, meet deadlines, maintain accuracy and manage costs.
Ability to work as a team member and have a positive attitude. Must be a dependable team player.
Familiarity with MIS systems such as iQuote/ePS and Monarch.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
Must understand how to create layouts. Metrix software knowledge is a plus.
Knowledge of press parameters, ink coverage, and press layouts and folding signatures.
Strong mailing and variable data experience. Knowledge of postal rules and regulations.
Minimum 5 years experience in commercial print and direct mail lettershop.
