Production Manager
About the position
The Production Manager at Jeffco Fibres is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production operations, ensuring that the production schedule is executed efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. This role involves managing staff performance, facilitating communication between departments, and driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Responsibilities
Ā Execute the shift schedule, including workstation assignments, employee training, and overtime assignments.

Ā Maintain workflow by monitoring the manufacturing process and adjusting work assignments as needed.

Ā Work with the Shipping team to ensure on-time delivery to internal customers.
,
Ā Facilitate corrections to machine or process failures.
,
Ā Communicate daily production expectations to staff and provide feedback and training on performance.
,
Ā Maintain and enforce safety requirements, quality standards, and behavioral expectations.
,
Ā Study current methods and implement improvements and cost reductions.
,
Ā Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within the department and between shifts.
,
Ā Lead, drive, and sustain a continuous improvement mindset using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
,
Ā Responsible for the leadership and development of team members using best practices and performance management techniques.
,
Ā Collaborate with material planning to maximize uptime and efficient materials storage.
,
Ā Become a technical expert in coiling equipment, including operation and troubleshooting.
,
Ā Work with maintenance department and OEM technicians to maintain equipment and ensure minimal downtime.
,
Ā Manage training programs for proper operation and maintenance procedures.
Requirements
Ā 2-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, with maintenance experience being a plus.

Ā 2-5 years of increasing responsibility in a manufacturing leadership role.
,
Ā Results-based leadership style with strong impact and influencing skills.

Ā Tenacity and energy in leading change towards an effective work environment.

Ā Ability to communicate effectively to direct and motivate team members and others.
