LA brings together artists, editors, and storytellers into one hyper-collaborative team specializing in crafting iconic 360° campaigns. Our work grows audiences, sparks conversations, builds brands, and shapes culture. Though we hail from around the country - and the world - Los Angeles is our creative home and our muse.
LA is seeking an experienced Production Designer to join our LA Managed Services team under a contract expected to run up to 12 months, with the potential for early completion or conversion to full-time based on project needs and performance. In this role, you will create a variety of assets used to engage and attract consumers for one of our most high-profile clients. You will focus on how design resources, standards, and knowledge reach the people who need them. You will work closely with creative leads, UI/UX teams, and engineering to develop the systems, tools, and content that connect our creative teams, production-design teams, and operations teams to the resources they need. The work spans a range of formats, from static and motion diagrams to animations and video, and includes presenting new guidelines directly to teams in training sessions. Develop and evolve our internal design resource hub, applying UI/UX principles and web development skills including AI-assisted tools, to improve navigation, structure, and content discoverability;
Create and maintain onboarding materials, documentation standards, and instructional content, including email designs, visual guides, and simple how-to videos, for internal teams, vendors, and external partners;
Contribute to our design-system library (Sketch, with potential migration to Figma);
Translate high-fidelity design prototypes into detailed, actionable specifications (redlines, spacing, behavior, and design systems);
Design internal communications and provide support to keep teams informed and resourced

What You’ll Bring:5+ years of experience in production design or graphic design, with a background spanning UI/UX and web development;
Expert knowledge of Sketch; Working knowledge of Figma;
Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, and Keynote;
Deep understanding of layout, color theory, typography, and responsive design;
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience;
All resumes must be accompanied by a portfolio and/or a website link

The Pay:The hourly compensation range for this position is $50 - $60/hr. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, location, prior experience, and education.
This is a contract role expected to run up to 12 months, with the potential for early completion or conversion to full-time based on project needs and performance.

Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a person to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified applicants and employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Extended periods of desk work involving long stretches of design, animation, and production work;
Frequent verbal and written communication during meetings, reviews, and cross-functional collaboration;
May involve presenting animations or design work to internal teams or clients;
Regular use of design and animation software, including After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and related tools;
Ability to manage high-volume production workflows, tight deadlines, and multiple concurrent projects
