Production Artist (Contract)

They are seeking a Production Artist who will split their time between production design and creative work, preparing art for final output and assisting with various marketing requests.ResponsibilitiesProof, pre-flight, and prepare final catalog files for printProvide layout/production of art filesComplete edits assigned to Production during proofing processResponsible for Font and Image curation, storage, and inventoryCreate digital and print artworkApprove graphics, fonts, layouts, and other creative choicesArchive digital and print files in our systemPerform other duties as assignedComply with all policies and standardsSkillsAssociate's Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience or a solid portfolio with pre-press pieces1-3 years as a Production Assistant or Coordinator in an advertising agency or in-house marketing teamExcellent working knowledge of pre-press, high-end print production process, and principles of typographyAbility to organize, prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyProficient with latest version of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PDF ProofingKnowledge of the printing process and the ability to create files correctly for press is essential (Example: bleeds, PDF proofing, spot and 4- color process)Proficient in a Mac environmentComfortable working in long form design format (large, multi-page designs)Proficient written and verbal communication skillsManage own project workflow while coordinating with project teams and management on schedules, requirements, goals and assignments as neededDigital production experience is preferredWeb experience a plusFamiliar with image compression, file correction and optimization techniquesBenefitsComprehensive benefits package designed to support your health and well-being, life balance, career growth and (eventually) retirementCompany OverviewSanMar is a promotional apparel and wholesale supplier provides superior services and products.
