Product Strategist - Transamerica AM

As a Product Strategist, you will be responsible for product development and management of U.S. funds, ensuring their lifecycle and viability align with the company's strategic goals. Responsibilities Define, develop and deliver products to support Transamerica Asset Management’s strategy and product management function Develop new U.S. funds, including product design, investment vehicle(s), and implementation Oversee product management of U.S. investment vehicles and sub-funds, including ongoing profitability analysis, review of fund fees and expenses, and interaction with Management Company, intermediaries and regulatory/compliance units Recommend changes to fund structures, expense allocations, total expense ratios (TER), and rationalization of individual funds and/or sub funds Carry out sub-advisory relationship management Represent the team during meetings with senior management and stakeholders; provide guidance and assist with issue resolution Create and deliver presentations to senior management and peers on R&D research outcomes; highlight strategic recommendations for new products, enhancements, etc Promote overall strategy and day-to-day tactics Support with complex, strategic projects, including commercial, regulatory, and governance Contribute to market analysis to identify product opportunities and improve the competitive positioning of the product range Contribute to the development of marketing support, including key messaging and promotion to support sales efforts, asset retention, and drive awareness Collaborate with training team on product training calls and materials Skills Bachelor's degree in a business related field or equivalent experience 1-3 years of experience in a product management/product development role Experience in a sales-driven, multi-channel, distribution environment In-depth understanding of the mutual fund industry as it relates to the UCITS and non-UCITS environment In-depth understanding of investment products, the financial industry, and capital markets Knowledge of structuring and the operation of: Mutual Funds, ETFs, SMAs, and CITs in U.S. jurisdictions Strategic thinker and self-starter to drive strategy for the product portfolio Analytical skills to translate information into strategic and tactical recommendations Communication skills to deliver presentations and create investment content for delivery through print and digital mediums Project management skills Team player with excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with business groups at all levels of the organization Experience using industry databases (e.g. Morningstar, eVestment, Simfund, Lipper, Bloomberg) Proficient using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) FINRA Series 7 CIMA Benefits Pension Plan 401k Match Employee Stock Purchase Plan Tuition Reimbursement Disability Insurance Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Employee Discounts Career Training & Development Opportunities Paid Time Off starting at 160 hours annually for employees in their first year of service Ten (10) paid holidays per year (typically mirroring the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) holidays) Be Well Company holistic wellness program, which includes Wellness Coaching and Reward Dollars Parental Leave – fifteen (15) days of paid parental leave per calendar year to eligible employees with at least one year of service at the time of birth, placement of an adopted child, or placement of a foster care child Adoption Assistance Employee Assistance Program College Coach Program Back-Up Care Program PTO for Volunteer Hours Employee Matching Gifts Program Employee Resource Groups Inclusion and Diversity Programs Employee Recognition Program Referral Bonus Programs Company Overview Aegon Asset Management is a global, active investment manager.
