Job Title: Product OwnerEmployer: AssistRxDepartment: Product ManagementReports To: Senior Product ManagerLocation: RemoteEffective Date: 3/23/26Summary: The Product Owner will play a critical role in defining, prioritizing, and delivering technology solutions that support the unique needs of life sciences organizations, including pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device. This role requires a blend of product strategy, technical understanding, and deep appreciation of regulated environments to ensure we deliver highâvalue, compliant, userâcentric products.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Product Strategy & VisionDevelop and maintain a compelling product vision aligned with business goals, customer needs, and regulatory constraints.Translate market insights, scientific workflows, and stakeholder needs into actionable product roadmaps.Partner closely with crossâfunctional leaders in R&D, Commercial, Quality, Regulatory, and IT to ensure product alignment across the life sciences ecosystem.Backlog Ownership & DeliveryOwn and manage the product backlog: define epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.Prioritize work based on customer value, compliance impact, technical feasibility, and business outcomes.Ensure engineering teams have clear requirements and context to deliver highâquality releases.Customer & Stakeholder EngagementPartner with internal SMEs (e.g., operations, compliance, commercial) to gather deep domain insights.Conduct ongoing customer discovery through interviews, workflow reviews, and user testing sessions.Serve as the voice of the customer for development teams, while balancing regulatory and business requirements.Execution & Release ManagementWork closely with engineering, UX, data, and QA to guide the execution of development cycles.Support sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, UAT cycles, and release readiness activities.Track product performance, adoption, and feedback to inform continuous improvement.CrossâFunctional CollaborationFacilitate alignment across functions including engineering, customer success, commercial, operations, regulatory, and marketing.Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and strategic decisions to leadership and stakeholders.Partner with commercialization teams to support goâtoâmarket planning and customer onboarding.Supervisory Responsibilities:This job has no supervisory responsibilities.Qualifications:3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, ideally in life sciences or healthcare.Experience delivering products in Agile/Scrum environments.Strong ability to translate complex scientific and operational workflows into clear requirements.Exceptional communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.Physical Demands And Work Environment:Occasionally required to stand.Occasionally required to walk.Frequently required to sit.Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.Continually required to talk or hear.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.Workisperformedeitherremotelyorinatraditionalcommercialofficesettingwith standard office lighting and white noise.Occasional travel for on-site audits and meetings.The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
