POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly accomplished, elite Product Management Consultant with a deep, 15-year background in retail technology to spearhead the evolution of our store scheduling and Workforce Management (WFM) platforms. This hybrid role based out of New York, NY, is designed for a strategic "Informed Captain" who possesses authentic, firsthand experience on the retail floor. You will bridge the gap between complex engineering algorithms, data science forecasting models, corporate finance constraints, and the real-world operational realities of store managers.

Your objective is to build empathetic, scalable scheduling systems that maximize corporate labor optimization while drastically boosting store associate morale and compliance safety.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Define, champion, and execute the multi-year product roadmap for enterprise retail scheduling and labor optimization systems, aligning development with overarching corporate fiscal goals.
• Apply cognitive empathy and user research principles to gather actionable requirements from store managers and associates, converting operational friction points into crisp engineering features.
• Partner closely with Data Science, IT Engineering, and Retail Operations to build and refine predictive scheduling engines that accurately forecast labor demands.
• Secure cross-functional alignment across IT, Data Science, Corporate Finance, and Retail leadership, acting as the ultimate domain owner for technical product strategy.
• Enforce strict compliance across scheduling engines, integrating localized US labor compliance frameworks, mandatory rest rules, and predictive scheduling laws dynamically into software workflows.
• Formulate robust rollout and change management frameworks to ensure smooth platform adoption across corporate stores, minimizing disruption during wide-scale tool launches.
• Monitor and evaluate labor utilization metrics, forecasting accuracies, and software performance parameters to present clear system ROI to executive leadership.
