Product Lead - Population Health, Care Management Job Description/Job Summary: Responsible for a data product & portfolio area within the Population Health product family. The person will work directly with the product director and other stakeholders as needed. The leader ensures that the specific product area strategy aligns with that overall product strategy which aligns to the overall organizational objectives, and works to ensure smooth operation of the products within their purview. • Develop Population Health Data product strategy in partnership with product directors, product managers, peers in Architecture and Delivery, and Leadership Team. • Manages the strategy and lifecycle of products, features and/or enhancements from conceptualization through requirements gathering, product specification and roadmap, implementation review, and release. • Understands the inter-relationships between service lines to determine if the product requirements constitute one or multiple product solutions. • Contributes to a strategic value-based portfolio roadmap that aligns the focus of all products in the portfolio to the most critical business goals and operational priorities of Ascension. • Effectively manage priorities within the product team. • Foster relationships across technology teams and organizational consumers. • Support Product Owner in resolving product dependencies, risks, and related problems. • Generate high value from user interactions to inform product strategy and direction. • Measures Metrics and KPI's to ensure products consistently achieve successful outcomes. • Perform User Research and Persona Identification • Collaborates in build vs buy analysis and decision making • Manages the data product development process by incorporating release feedback into future roadmaps. • Quantifies the customer value of satisfying business requirements with products/features and their subsequent value to the organization's goals. • Implement process improvements at the direction of the Product Director. • Identify intra-team process improvements to ensure the product's success. • Practice effective internal and external communication, ensuring that priorities, high-profile metrics, and outcomes are well communicated and well understood. • Collaborate on and communicate product/architecture/delivery resourcing needs and strategy. • Define clear objectives and identify traceable key results for the product team. • Identify intra-team process improvements to ensure the product's success and implement at the direction of the Product Director. • Drive a culture of continuous improvement based on insights • Manage and mentor product owners and teams • Partner with Architecture and Delivery to foster empowered data product delivery teams operating effectively at all levels • Collaborate with Leadership and service lines to gain new insights, unlock opportunities, and work together more effectively, with a specific focus on enabling go-to-market strategies • Drive a culture of continuous improvement based on insights • Manages usability testing successfully • Identifies product dependencies, risks, and related problems and supports Product Owner in resolving • Competent with communications, presentation, and common productivity tools • Familiarity with common business intelligence tools • Competent with epic/story/issue/bug identification, management, roadmapping, and other PM tools • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and apply analysis to help craft the future direction of Ascension Data Products • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications and Education: • Required: Expert in subject matter area in one of the following areas - Clinical Workflows, Care Management Operations in Healthcare Acute and Ambulatory space, Finance • Experience in Data Analytics using tools such as Sql, GCP. Snowflake etc • Experience with building Enterprise Data warehouse • Lead or Manage technology transformation projects • Experience with agile methodologies of project execution • Bachelor's level degree or equivalent foreign degree in Computer Sc or Information Technology • Preferred: Experience with Epic, Cerner, or other EHR platforms, • Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, Population Health and Care Management, 1-3 Years healthcare industry experience, and 2+ years people management experience Desired Traits: • People-person, more curious about the business and the needs of the customers than about the technical aspects of the product. • Problem solver, persistent in resolution unwilling to not deliver, and not leaving problems unresolved. • Communicator, with strong written and verbal communication skills • Influencer, articulate and persuasive. • Relational, others find them enjoyable to work with. • Leader, comfortable leading, facilitating and enjoys high visibility among peers and organization. • Trusted authority, respected in Healthcare business practices • Humble, willing to learn and do what is needed to help us accomplish our goals. • Results driven, having a strong bias for action and the ability to foster a competitive, outcomes driven mentality in your team.
