Product Director, Data Privacy (COPPA, GDPR) Employment Type: Full Time Location: Washington DCMinimum Experience: Director Our team of lawyers, data scientists, engineers, economists and researchers span globally with presence in California, New York, Washington DC , London and Singapore. About the Role:Pixalate is growing our data privacy and children's online safety team and looking for a senior privacy expert to engage with product, engineering, policy makers and stakeholders to champion children’s safety and consumer privacy online. You will be the subject matter expert of relevant children online privacy laws, including COPPA/GDPR-K,ongoing relevant regulatory changes at the US state and federal levels for children online safety, and pertinent EU regulations like GDPR and UK Age Appropriate Design Code. Responsibilities In-house expert in global privacy regulations, with a special focus on COPPA/GDPR-K, and other relevant children data protection and online safety lawsAdvocate children’s online privacy internally and externallyDrive the vision, strategy, direction and roadmap of the Children’s Online Safety ProductCo-own the product roadmap with the Product, Engineering and Data Science teamsWork cross-functionally across different teams to maintain, develop and expand relevant privacy compliance toolsUnderstand the data governance and public policy implications of data privacy in online advertisingRegularly engage with legislators and regulators to identify key policy changesWork with the global team to develop briefing papers, blog posts, presentations, consultation responses and conduct webinars, brown bags and client presentations Qualifications JD is preferredExperience in a trade association, think-tank, university, consulting, law firm, compliance, and in-houseExperience and interest in Children online privacy and COPPA and GDPR complianceKnowledge of California online privacy laws/Age appropriate design code 3+ years of experience with data privacy regulatory requirements and compliance issuesExcellent writing and proofreading skillsDegree in Law/Technology related subjectPrior experience working in data privacy, AI or data securityCIPP (or equivalent) certificationMajor law firm, inhouse or government experience About PixalateWe're the leader in fraud detection and privacy compliance for digital advertising, protecting billions in ad spend for Fortune 500 brands and major ad platforms.
