Product Designer

Overview:

We are seeking a Sr. Product Designer to lead and evolve the immersive setup experience across VR and mobile platforms. This role focuses on pre-OTA workflows, mobile design systems, and large process flows. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong technical adaptability, autonomy, and collaboration skills, particularly with engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the design of headset setup experiences, including unboxing, initial onboarding, and pre-OTA workflows that must be finalized before factory deployment.

• Maintain and evolve large, complex design systems and Figma diagrams, ensuring clarity, adaptability, and scalability.

• Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure designs are technically feasible and aligned with hardware constraints.

• Drive platformization and scalable design patterns across multi-device

ecosystems.

• Influence product roadmaps and strategic direction in collaboration with cross-functional partners.

• Interface effectively with engineering to oversee OTA flows and OEM integrations.

• Think holistically about user flows including login, account creation, and credential management, with the ability to context switch as needed.

• Lead multiple strategic initiatives including cross-platform integration, content engagement and retention, and UX system development.

Qualifications:

• 8-10+ years of design experience and experience working within hardware device products

• Proven experience designing for immersive technologies and mobile platforms.

• Strong understanding of pre-OTA workflows and hardware-software integration.

• Expertise in maintaining large process systems and creating scalable UX frameworks.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across disciplines, especially with engineering.

• Ability to work independently and autonomously with a strong technical learning capacity.

• Familiarity with VR is a plus but not required; most flows are out-of-headset.

• Experience with unboxing experiences and understanding what must be included in factory builds versus post-launch updates.

• Candidates focused solely on visual or UI design will not be a fit for this role.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $110.00/hr.
