Product Analyst

The Product Analyst will manage the product lifecycle and support Product Managers with product strategy, including creating Product Requirement Documents and coordinating sustainment activities.ResponsibilitiesContributes to Landis+Gyr’s New Product Introduction (NPI) process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Interprets customer requirements and translates to clear product requirements and use cases in PRDsSupports R&D feasibility/traceability reviewsWorks with Technical Training to develop Product Documentation and TrainingCreate and maintain Product Catalog InformationWorks in partnership with Project Management Organization (PMO) to manage cost and timeline expectationsRepresents Product Management on manufacturing related initiatives and activities for roles related to hardware portfolioUnderstands market research for addressing market and/or business needs for a product, including awareness of market trends, direction and competition landscapeDevelop customer communications (e.g. Customer Information Letters, Product Updates, Release Notes)Ensures all parts of the organization are properly educated on product feature/functionalityContributes to business reviews and planning sessionsSupports Landis+Gyr’s quality processesSupport for industry events, internal sales meetings, Landis+Gyr’s Exchange, and customer specific meetingsOwns the management of sustainment of existing product offeringsSupports and adheres to Company’s core valuesPerforms other duties or responsibilities as assigned or requiredSupports and adheres to Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics PolicyRepresents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customersSkillsBachelor's Degree; preferably in engineering or computer scienceAt least 0 - 3 years of relevant experience requiredThorough understanding of business fundamentals – roles of various departments in the organization: marketing, sales, economics, manufacturing, business management, engineeringUnderstanding of Internet of Things (IoT) and/or basic knowledge of utility spaceBasic knowledge of existing and emerging software development technologies for roles related to software portfolioCritical thinking, communication and analytical skillsAgile software development process experience for roles related to software portfolioUnderstanding of marketing concepts/market researchSuperior computer skills including Microsoft Office applications for word processing, spreadsheets and presentationsEffective written and verbal communication skills, including experience in public speakingOrganizational skills including prioritization, project management and resource deploymentAbility to influence individuals and organizations not under a direct reporting relationshipFormal Product Management training, such as Pragmatic Marketing, and/or New Product Introduction (NPI) process is desiredBenefitsMedical, dental and vision coverageLife insurance401(k)-retirement plan featuring a generous company match incentiveThree (3) weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO)Eleven (11) paid holidaysTuition reimbursement programOptional pet insuranceSupplemental medical coverageA host of other perks to ensure the health, wellness, and enrichment of our team membersCompany OverviewLandis+Gyr is focused on metering and other technologies related to the management of energy.
