Job Title: Producer / Content Creator – Atlanta NOW on HOT97 About the Show Atlanta NOW on HOT 97 is a bold, community-driven news and culture discussion program that spotlights local and national stories, music headlines, and issues that matter to Metro Atlanta. The show focuses on the news and conversations shaping everyday life, powered by authentic voices, community contributors, and user-generated content through the NOW Local News App. This three-hour daily show weaves in the city’s music scene, connecting stories of innovation, growth, and change with the local people defining Metro Atlanta’s culture. Based in one of the nation’s most influential centers of hip hop, the show captures Atlanta’s energy as a cultural and creative powerhouse. Job Summary We’re seeking a versatile Producer / Content Creator to power Atlanta NOW on HOT97 both behind the scenes and on camera. This hybrid role combines live-show production, editorial collaboration, on-camera participation, and digital content creation. The producer will: • Lead the daily rundown, • Switch the show live during broadcast, • Participate in the on-air conversation, • Pitch and shape segments that spotlight Metro Atlanta’s communities, and • Drive engagement across social and digital platforms. This is a hands-on position for a creative multitasker with strong news judgment, a feel for Atlanta’s music scene, and a passion for the local community’s voice. Key Responsibilities • Build and manage the daily rundown for a 3-hour live news and discussion show focused on local issues and music culture. • Direct and switch the show live, managing camera cuts, graphics, and video playback. • Collaborate closely with the host, guests, and executive producer to develop strong, timely segments. • Pitch and produce stories and panel topics connected to Metro Atlanta communities, national trends and music/entertainment trends. • Write and edit scripts. • Edit video for on-air and digital use. • Join on-air conversations. • Use the NOW Local News App and social platforms to source community stories and viewer-submitted content. • Post and monitor content across Hot 97 NOW digital and social channels. • Stay plugged into Atlanta news, politics, culture, and entertainment, especially hip hop, and R&B. • Attend concerts, community events, and cultural gatherings as needed. Qualifications • Experience producing or directing live TV, radio, podcasts, or streaming video. • Strong editorial sense and writing skills. • Proficiency with video switchers and production tools (vMix, OBS, TriCaster, etc.). • Comfortable joining the show on camera. • Skills in video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro or similar). • Familiarity with social-media engagement and real-time content updates • Deep understanding of Metro Atlanta’s local issues, music, and communities • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, creative environment.
