Probate Paralegal

Responsibilities: • Liaise directly with clients to obtain information necessary to prepare probate petitions. • Prepare petitions, notices, publication and all documents and forms necessary to complete the probate case. • Keep track of hearing dates and ensure attorneys are briefed prior to hearings. • Keep clients informed about the status of their case. Qualifications: • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills • ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired • Strong oral and written communication skills • 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting • Candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preference Compensation: $24,000 yearly • Liaise directly with clients to obtain information necessary to prepare probate petitions. • Prepare petitions, notices, publication and all documents and forms necessary to complete the probate case. • Keep track of hearing dates and ensure attorneys are briefed prior to hearings. • Keep clients informed about the status of their case.
