Privacy Compliance Consultant for WordPress Site
We are seeking an experienced Privacy Compliance Consultant to review and update our corporate WordPress website for legal and privacy compliance. Many of our core privacy and data governance policies have already been drafted by an attorney. The primary objective of this engagement is to properly implement those policies within WordPress, ensure they are accurately reflected in the website’s structure and functionality, and identify any missing policies, disclosures, or compliance gaps.
This project includes:
- Evaluating cookies, analytics, tracking tools, and third-party integrations
- Identifying compliance gaps related to GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and applicable U.S. state privacy laws
- Ensuring existing attorney-drafted policies are correctly implemented, accessible, and aligned with site behavior
- Identifying any missing policies, disclosures, or standards adherence requirements
- Drafting or customizing supplemental website policies as needed (Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and related disclosures)
- Recommending and configuring appropriate cookie consent and user notification mechanisms
- Implementing solutions directly in WordPress or providing clear technical implementation guidance
The ideal candidate has proven experience with website privacy compliance, a strong understanding of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, cookie consent frameworks, and hands-on WordPress implementation experience.
