F5, Inc. seeks Principal Software Engineer in San Jose, CA: Job Duties: Independently determine and develop approaches to solutions for assigned projects by identifying, resolving and mitigating risk and communicating to others. Provide technical solutions to detail certain aspects of product design and ensures that resulting design specification fits into technical architectural framework. Perform analysis to define design requirements for modification to existing tools, utilities, system structures, environments and provide technical perspective for input into project scope and estimating activities. Recommend and maintain technical design methodologies, processes and standards. Provide technical mentorship to junior level engineers. Assist Principal Engineers and Management with project scope. Assist with and drive customer solutions. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to F5 offices may be required. Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field. Special Skill Requirements: (1) C (two years), (2) C++ (two years), (3) GoLang (two years), (4) Python, (5) JSON, (6) SQL, (7) XML (8) C library, (9) TCP/IP, (10) SDN. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to F5 offices may be required. Salary: $253,575.00 - $299,928.00 per annum.
