Why We Need You
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Principal SLED Account Director to drive strategic sales of Ivanti’s IT Security and ITSM solutions within the State, Local Government, and Education (SLED) sectors. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing high-value opportunities, building strong relationships with executive decision-makers, and providing thought leadership to both customers and internal teams. The Senior Account Executive will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence and market share in the SLED space.



What You Will Be Doing:

Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth for both IT security and ITSM solutions across the SLED market.

Identify, pursue, and close high-value, complex sales opportunities with state agencies, municipalities, universities, K-12 districts, and other SLED organizations.

Build, strengthen, and maintain executive-level relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, IT Directors, and other key stakeholders.

Engage in consultative selling to deeply understand client challenges around cybersecurity and IT service management, and tailor solutions accordingly.

Stay abreast of state and local regulations, compliance standards, and funding initiatives relevant to IT security and ITSM.

Lead presentations and product demonstrations at a strategic level, articulating the value of integrated security and ITSM solutions.

Oversee and manage the entire sales cycle, including negotiation of contracts, RFP/RFI responses, and closing engagements.

Mentor junior account executives and contribute to the strategic direction of the SLED sales team.

Accurately forecast and report on pipeline and sales activities to leadership.

Represent [Company Name] at industry conferences, trade shows, and events as a senior ambassador.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; master’s preferred.

7+ years’ proven success in enterprise sales, specifically in SLED/public sector and/or IT security/ITSM solutions.

Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding multimillion-dollar sales targets.

Existing senior-level relationships within SLED organizations highly desired.

Deep understanding of SLED procurement, contracts, and budget cycles.

Excellent strategic selling, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Strong business acumen and the ability to position complex solutions to executive audiences.

Knowledge of leading IT security and ITSM platforms, regulatory requirements (CJIS, FERPA, HIPAA, NIST), and technology trends.

Ability to travel as needed within assigned territory
