Principal Mobile Engineer; React Native, WebTrading Platform, Remote-First Team

Remote Full-time
Position: Staff / Principal Mobile Engineer (React Native, Web3 Trading Platform, Remote-First Team!)

Overview

My client is a tech-driven Web3 company building a new generation of licensed decentralized trading platforms (DEX), backed by top-tier investors. The company combines the transparency and self-custody of DeFi with the compliance and reliability of regulated financial infrastructure.

Its platform serves a global user base, and the team operates as a globally distributed, remote-first engineering organization. The core engineering team focuses on building secure, high-performance systems that operate reliably under real-world trading conditions.
The Role

As a Staff / Principal Mobile Engineer, you will lead the development of high-performance mobile applications that serve as key user touchpoints of the trading platform.

You will own mobile architecture, drive engineering standards, and ensure performance, stability, and scalability across the mobile codebase. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy combining hands‑on development and building production‑grade mobile systems at scale.
Job Responsibilities
• Architect, build, and maintain high-performance React Native applications for both iOS and Android
• Own mobile architecture decisions, coding standards, and engineering best practices
• Ensure code quality, performance, and stability across the mobile platform
• Lead code reviews and uphold a high engineering bar within the team
• Collaborate closely with product, backend, design, and QA teams to deliver end‑to‑end features
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory issues, and app stability risks
• Improve mobile development workflows, testing strategies, and release processes
• Continuously evaluate new technologies within the React Native and mobile ecosystem
Job Requirements
• 8+ years of mobile development experience (iOS, Android, or both)
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience building production applications with React Native
• Proven experience as a tech lead or senior engineer with strong ownership of mobile systems
• Solid understanding of mobile architecture, performance optimization, and memory management
• Familiarity with native mobile tools (Xcode, Android Studio, Gradle, etc.)
• Experience integrating with APIs, authentication systems, and secure data handling
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, app release processes, and version control strategies
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to make pragmatic technical decisions
Nice to Have
• Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.); automated testing (Jest, Detox, E2E); performance monitoring and crash analytics tools (Firebase, Sentry, etc.); familiarity with GraphQL
• Exposure to fintech, trading systems, or Web3 products

Note:

Experience in decentralized exchanges (DEX) or Web3 is a plus but not a strict requirement. Engineers from strong mobile backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
What They Offer
• A highly engineering‑driven environment with strong ownership and autonomy
• Opportunity to lead and shape mobile architecture for a global trading platform
• Competitive compensation with exposure to cutting‑edge Web3 infrastructure
