Job Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer – Java Full Stack to lead the design and development of scalable, high‑performance enterprise applications. This is a hands‑on individual contributor role requiring deep technical expertise, strong architectural judgment, and the ability to influence engineering best practices across teams.The ideal candidate is passionate about building robust systems, mentoring engineers, and solving complex problems in a fast‑paced, Agile environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end‑to‑end design and development of full‑stack applications using Java and modern frontend frameworksArchitect scalable, secure, and high‑availability systems using microservices and cloud‑native patternsDrive technical standards, coding best practices, and architectural decisions across teamsDesign and develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot / JavaBuild responsive, performant UIs using React / Angular / modern JavaScript frameworksOptimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliabilityCollaborate closely with Product, Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Security teamsReview code, guide refactoring efforts, and mentor senior and mid‑level engineersActively contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automationTroubleshoot complex production issues and drive root‑cause analysisRequired Qualifications8–12+ years of professional software development experience with Java full‑stack systemsStrong expertise in:Java (8+), Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPAREST APIs, Microservices ArchitectureFrontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or similarJavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS)Strong understanding of:Distributed systemsSystem design & scalabilityObject‑Oriented Design (OOD) and design patternsExperience working in Agile / SAFe Agile environmentsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experienceEligibilityVideo Camera Usage:Availity fosters a collaborative and open culture where communication and engagement are central to our success.
