Principal Electrical Engineer - RF and Microwave Systems

Our client is searching for a Principal Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in RF and microwave systems to join their cutting-edge research and development team. This is a 100% remote position, enabling top-tier talent to contribute from anywhere. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and testing high-frequency electronic components and systems for next-generation communication technologies. Responsibilities include leading the design of RF circuits, antennas, and subsystems; performing detailed electromagnetic simulations; and developing test procedures for validating performance against stringent specifications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of RF propagation, impedance matching, filter design, and amplifier circuits. You will also be involved in the full product lifecycle, from conceptualization and prototyping to production support. This role requires a Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication, are crucial for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting technical findings. You should be proficient in industry-standard simulation software (e.g., ANSYS HFSS, CST) and RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers). This remote role offers a unique opportunity to work on challenging projects that push the boundaries of wireless technology, contributing significantly to the company's innovation pipeline. The primary job location is associated with Austin, Texas, US , but the role itself is fully remote. We are looking for a self-starter with a proven ability to work independently, manage projects effectively, and mentor junior engineers.
