Principal DevOps Engineer/Architect

Job Description Experlogix is looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer or Architect who is a senior technical contributor and who will lead the design and implementation of production DevOps solutions, and ensure the scalability, security, and efficiency of infrastructure and applications. They will be responsible for mentoring team members, setting architectural standards, and enabling high-velocity software delivery for the Engineering Department. Key Responsibilities: DevOps Strategy & Implementation: Lead the development and implementation of DevOps strategies and best practices across the organization. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design and implement infrastructure as code solutions using tools like Pulumi, Terraform or CloudFormation. CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery and deployment, AzureDevOps experience preferred. Cloud Expertise: Utilize expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) to build and manage cloud-native infrastructure. Automation: Drive automation across various DevOps processes, including infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment. Experience with Puppet, Chef, Ansible, SaltStack configuration management tools. Monitoring & Observability: Implement monitoring and observability solutions to track system health, performance, and identify potential issues. With Technologies like Prometheus, Grafana, Site24x7, Datadog, PagerDuty etc. Security: Integrate security best practices into DevOps processes and ensure the security of infrastructure and applications. (Preferred - SNYK, SonarQube) Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices, and technical guidance and leadership Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with various teams (e.g., development, security, QA, services, support, product) to ensure seamless integration of DevOps practices. Incident Response: Develop and maintain incident response plans and participate in incident resolution. Performance Optimization: Continuously improve system performance, availability, and scalability. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps processes. (Preferred using Jira, Confluence) Required Skills and Experience: Strong DevOps Experience: Extensive experience in implementing and managing DevOps practices. Cloud Expertise: Proficiency in one or more major cloud platforms (Preferred - Azure , Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Container Registry, Azure EntraID). Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with automation tools (Pulumi with C#, FluxCD, GitOps, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.) Containerization and Orchestration: Deep understanding of Docker, Helm, Open Container Initiative (OCI) CI/CD: Deep understanding and practical experience with CI/CD pipelines. (Preferred - Azure DevOps) Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like Powershell, Python or Bash. Linux System Administration: Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and system administration. Agile & Lean Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile and Lean principles. (Ticketing with Jira) Version Control: Experience with Git and branching strategies. (Preferred - Azure DevOps, Git) Communication & Leadership: Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
