Principal DevOps Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to drive the design, implementation, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate with Engineering and QA to ensure smooth deployments, secure environments, and scalable operations for our digital-education platforms. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for multiple product lines Automate Kubernetes configuration using Argo CD Provision infrastructure with Infrastructure-as-Code (Pulumi, Terraform, or CloudFormation) Manage and monitor AWS (preferred) or other cloud environments for performance, availability, and security Embed DevSecOps best practices across all stages of the SDLC Troubleshoot production issues and support Engineering/QA teams Optimize deployment and scaling strategies for containerized services (Docker, Kubernetes) Collaborate with developers to improve build and release processes Mentor and assign workloads to junior team members Implement and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting systems (Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch) POSITION QUALIFICATIONS • Required Skills/Abilities/Experience: • 8+ years in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering • Deep knowledge of AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, etc.) • Strong scripting in Bash, PowerShell, or Python • Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) • Expertise with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) • Proficiency with Git-based version control Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Terraform Associate, CompTIA Security+, CCNA) are a plus WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
