The senior-level technical engineer will develop and implement engineering solutions for the organization, manage technical projects, and oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions.The successful candidate:The Principal, Desktop Engineer is responsible for acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Desktop Engineering managed solutions including but not limited to Microsoft Configuration Manager, Microsoft Intune, JAMF, Citrix, and VMWare. The Principal, Desktop Engineer will also have a strong knowledge of Citrix with regards to both application presentation and VDI. This individual will be responsible for engineering and supporting solutions for the Desktop Engineering Team and also mentoring members of the Desktop Engineering team.Position Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and implement engineering solutionsLead and manage technical projects from conception to completionOversee and manage the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutionsProvide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering teamCoordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure successful project completionAnalyze engineering challenges and develop solutionsMonitor and assess the performance of the engineering teamResearch and recommend new technologies, processes, and proceduresMinimum Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.Minimum Experience:6 years of experience as a Desktop EngineerAt least 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.Preferred Experience:Microsoft Windows 11 and Windows 10 upgrades, Citrix, Microsoft Configuration Manager, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server 2016+, JAMF, Microsoft M365, and VMWare vCenter.Skills/Abilities: Seasoned interpersonal skills, effective communicator, and problem solver. Driven to improve customer satisfaction, both internally and externally. Ability to always maintain professionalism under high pressure situations. Must be able to meet team goals and enjoy working collaboratively as a team. What's the major objective(s) of the role? Specifically, what does this person need to do to be considered a success? What will they be working on? The candidate will be helping DQ finish their Windows 10 to Windows 11 migration which is currently not on target. The successful candidate will have demonstrable knowledge troubleshooting SCCM deployment issues. The candidate must have strong Windows 11 image creation skills as well as troubleshooting skills.2.
