Job Description:Experience with cost management and optimization tools in AWS and Azure. Key Responsibilities and ScopeCloud Strategy & Governance: Define the long-term cloud vision, roadmap, and reference architectures across multi-cloud environments (AWS & Azure). Lead enterprise-wide cloud adoption and transformation strategies, setting and enforcing architecture standards, governance, and compliance policies.Architecture Leadership & Innovation: Act as the highest-level technical authority for designing and implementing secure, scalable, highly available, and resilient cloud ecosystems. Solve the most unique and complex problems with a broad, cross-functional impact, often requiring significant departures from traditional approaches.Deep Cloud Engineering & Optimization: Provide mastery-level expertise in core and advanced AWS and Azure services (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, VMs, Blob, VNet, Azure AD, SQL DB, Functions, AKS).Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Architect and optimize enterprise-grade Terraform and other IaC frameworks (CloudFormation, ARM templates) for scalable, secure infrastructure automation.Automation: Drive automation strategy, establishing new processes and technologies to enhance performance, reliability, and security for provisioning, config management (Ansible), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, Azure DevOps).Cost & Performance Management: Drive multi-million dollar cost optimization initiatives by designing and implementing advanced cost-saving strategies, overseeing vendor negotiations, and managing cloud licensing models—lead capacity planning and performance optimization for critical, high-scale systems.Security & Compliance: Develop and enforce stringent cloud security and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001) at an organizational level. Provide expert guidance on IAM, network security, encryption, and audit processes.Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Architect and oversee the execution of enterprise-level Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning (DR/BCP) for the entire cloud footprint.QualificationsExperience: Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years of experience; or equivalent expertise. 8+ years specifically designing, implementing, and managing multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS & Azure).Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.Technical Expertise:Broad expertise or unique knowledge across complex, high-scale multi-cloud and hybrid environments.Expertise in strategic scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for platform-level automation.Deep understanding of enterprise architecture modeling and governance.Mastery of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and large-scale Terraform codebase management.Soft Skills & Leadership: Proven track record of visionary leadership, strategic planning, and executive communication. Demonstrated ability to influence, drive consensus, and lead large, cross-functional technical programs.Preferred QualificationsCertifications: AWS Solutions Architect Professional (AWS SA Pro), AWS DevOps Professional, Azure Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.Advanced Technologies: Mastery in Containers (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS/AKS), Serverless (Lambda, Azure Functions), Cloud Databases (Aurora, Cosmos DB), and advanced cloud networking services.Expertise in Systems: Deep, hands-on administrative and design expertise in Virtualization (VMware/vCenter lifecycle management, upgrades, and large-scale migration strategies) and diverse Operating Systems (Windows, RHEL, Linux).Mentorship & Influence: Act independently to determine methods and procedures for new or special assignments. Create formal networks and coordinate among multiple groups. Provide executive-level guidance and technical mentorship to other architects, engineers, and technical leadership.
