K2 Insurance Services, through its Midwestern Insurance Alliance (MIA), is seeking a full-time Premium Auditor to join its workers’ compensation audit team in Louisville, KY. The role involves conducting audits on policyholder records to ensure proper calculation and compliance of workers’ compensation insurance premiums.ResponsibilitiesConduct detailed audits of policyholders’ payroll, financial records, and other relevant documentation to determine the correct classification and premium assessment for workers' compensation coverageReview financial statements, payroll records, tax filings, and other business documents to assess risk exposure and ensure accuracyVerify proper classification codes for each job type and ensure businesses are correctly categorizedIdentify and assess discrepancies between reported information and actual business operations, investigating any significant differencesCommunicate with clients to gather necessary documentation, answer questions, and resolve any issues identified during the audit processPrepare audit reports detailing findings, discrepancies, and recommended premium adjustmentsCollaborate with underwriting, claims, and other departments to ensure accurate premium assessmentsStay updated with industry trends, insurance regulations, and changes in state or federal laws affecting workers' compensation premiumsEnsure audits are completed within specified timelines and in accordance with company policies and regulatory standardsSkillsKnowledge of workers' compensation insurance policies and premium calculation methods a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in using auditing tools, accounting software, and Microsoft Office SuiteAttention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reportingAbility to communicate effectively with clients and internal teamsStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple audits simultaneouslyValid driver's license and ability to travel as needed (some roles may require travel to client sites)Experience working with different types of business entities, from small businesses to large corporationsFamiliarity with industry regulations and compliance standardsBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionDisabilityLife insurance401 (k) with employer matchCompany OverviewK2 Insurance Services is a specialty insurance services platform providing underwriting and distribution to P&C carriers.
