Pre-Construction Manager (Estimator) Remote
We are looking for an Estimator / Pre-Construction focus for a remote position preferrably based in the mid-Atlantic, midwest or Northeast for our fast growing construction client.
Pre-Construction Manager (Estimator)
The Pre-Construction Manager (Estimator) leads the front-end evaluation, estimating, and technical development of project opportunities from bid through proposal submission.
Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Review and qualify RFP/bid documents, blueprints, and specifications.
ā¢ Lead Go/No-Go reviews for construction projects, ensuring clear internal roles and responsibilities.
ā¢ Collaborate with Design and Business Development teams to develop drawings, investigate codes/regulations, and define project scope.
ā¢ Attend pre-bid meetings, job walks, and subcontractor qualification meetings as required.
ā¢ Develop comprehensive scopes of work, project estimates, budgets, and schedules (MS Project).
ā¢ Solicit, evaluate, and qualify vendor and subcontractor proposals;obtain hard cost pricing.
ā¢ Generate and manage RFIs (customer and subcontractor) to clarify project requirements.
ā¢ Identify cost-efficient bidding strategies and value-added solutions to enhance competitiveness and profitability.
ā¢ Assemble complete technical packages for proposal submission. This will require using a sophisticated Excel Templete to ultimately develop the construction bid package and proposal.
This role requires strong construction knowledge, estimating expertise utilizing Excel, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver accurate, competitive, and profitable bids.
