Job Description:
• Secure interviews for Straight Arrow News writers on radio, podcasts, TV, and other platforms.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, producers, press, and media outlets.
• Identify and pursue collaborations with organizations that align with our mission to increase visibility.
• Develop strategies to position Straight Arrow News as a trusted source in public discourse.
• Research and book opportunities for company leaders to speak at conferences and industry events.
• Collaborate with editorial and marketing teams to amplify key stories and initiatives.
• Track media coverage and provide regular reports on outreach effectiveness.
• Draft press releases, media pitches, and talking points.
Requirements:
• 5-7 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or communications.
• Strong network of media contacts across broadcast, digital, and print.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with media monitoring tools and PR software.
• Passion for unbiased journalism and understanding of the current media landscape.
