• *Role: PR & Advertising Advisor** Type: Volunteer | Part-time | Remote • *About Girl Dinner Social** Girl Dinner Social is a Chicago-based community built to help women make genuine connections. We're building an app that gives local event organizers and businesses access to a women-only audience — and we're growing our team with people who believe in what we're building. This is a volunteer role. We're looking for someone who cares about the mission and can show up like it matters — because it does. • *The Role:** You'll work directly with the founder to build our brand presence and establish advertising partnerships ahead of launch. Your job is to shape how GDS shows up in the market, craft our media narrative, and connect us with brands and advertisers who want access to our audience — beauty, fashion, lifestyle, and beyond. • *What You'll Do** • Develop our PR strategy and craft a compelling, culturally relevant brand narrative • Identify and pitch advertising and brand integration opportunities • Leverage your existing relationships with brands and agencies to get us in the room • Advise on ad integration strategies that feel native and authentic to our community • Help position GDS as the go-to platform for brands looking to reach women in Chicago • Join a weekly check-in call with the founder • *Who You Are** • Hands-on experience in PR, media, or advertising — ideally with consumer brands in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle • You have real relationships with brands or agencies and know how to pitch • Confident in cold outreach and comfortable building from scratch • Extremely organized — you keep things structured, your follow-ups timely, and nothing falls through the cracks • A self-starter who doesn't need to be chased to get things done • A strong communicator — responsive, clear, and professional in every interaction (this is non-negotiable) • Genuinely passionate about what we're building for women in Chicago • *What to Expect** This is a volunteer role with real expectations — and we mean that in the best way. You'll have genuine creative ownership, direct access to the founder, and the chance to shape how our brand enters the market from day one. We ask for consistent communication, weekly availability, and accountability to your work.
