Client: State of MS Job ID: 155326 Job Title: Developer - PowerBI Developer - MS - MDEK12 Job Location: 3771 Eastwood Dr, Jackson, MS, 39211 Projected Start Date: 03/01/2026 Projected End Date/Duration: At least 5 Years from projected start date 100% Remote Scoring Method - Must equal 100% • Cost - 30 • Required Skills/Experience - 25 • Preferred Skills/Experience - 10 • Candidate Interview - 35 Position Description and Job Skill Set • This position requires a qualified Power BI Developer with at least 7 years' experience in the following areas. • Prototyping, designing, developing, and publishing Power BI Reports • Develop Power BI Data models and recommend best practices for report creation and visualizations • Implement security in reports and dashboards • Integrate Dashboards into applications using Power BI Embedded. • Collaborate with Business Analysts to gather business requirements for Analytics and Reporting • Provide guidance and code reviews to BI team members • Troubleshoot reporting issues and tune report performance • Create and modify database tables and views. Review plans to optimize SQL queries • Responsible for implementing security on developed Dashboards in accordance with security and access requirements • Ensure agile/scrum practices are followed during the development process • Evaluate self-service reporting and dashboard tool • Responsible for estimating work content and achieving planned timelines. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Multi-task effectively between projects. • Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team. • Must possess analytical and complex problem-solving skills. Required Skills/Experience • Experience in Business Analytics tools developing Reporting and Dashboards • Experience in Reporting and Analytics using Power BI - M Query, DAX, Data Modelling, Row Level Security Experience in database technologies and strong SQL query writing skills, preferrable SQL Server • Analytical thinking for converting data into relevant reports and graphics Understanding of how to implement solutions with multiple data sources • Experience working with Agile methodology and self-starter who can quickly acclimate to a dynamic environment Preferred/Not Required • Strong foundational knowledge of Microsoft 365 platform including Exchange, Azure AD, and Azure ecosystem. • Demonstrate an understanding of security concepts including access control and data security.
