Postdoctoral Researcher - Molecular Biology

Responsibilities:
Design, execute, and analyze complex experiments in molecular biology, focusing on areas such as gene regulation, protein-protein interactions, or cellular signaling pathways. Develop and optimize novel experimental protocols and methodologies. Interpret experimental data, draw sound conclusions, and present findings clearly and concisely. Contribute to the writing of research grants, manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals, and conference presentations. Collaborate effectively with other lab members, principal investigators, and researchers from other institutions. Maintain meticulous laboratory records and ensure compliance with all safety and ethical guidelines. Mentor junior lab members, including graduate and undergraduate students. Stay current with the latest advancements and literature in the field of molecular biology. Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment. Participate in lab meetings, journal clubs, and departmental seminars.
The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline. A strong publication record in reputable scientific journals is essential. Demonstrated expertise in a range of molecular biology techniques, such as PCR, qPCR, Western blotting, cloning, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, and cell culture, is required. Experience with bioinformatics tools and data analysis is highly desirable. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are paramount. Superior written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex scientific concepts, are necessary. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Prior experience in a postdoctoral research position or equivalent is preferred.
