Project Manager - Transaction Email Marketing
Location: REMOTE Client: The National Basketball Association Role: LONG TERM CONTRACT
Position Summary
Reporting into the Project Management Office, this role will support the Transactional Email Marketing and eCommerce team on all projects and initiatives.
Major Responsibilities
Project Management & Scrum Master blend: Projects
ā¢ Ability to manage an assortment of small, medium, & large development projects successfully according to the expectations of key stakeholders.
ā¢ Coordinate with various teams to ensure a clear understanding of project objectives, deliverables, and milestones and articulating overall project objectives, deadlines & requirements.
ā¢ Manage 3rd party partner timeline inputs with enough time for teams to execute and deliver, while tracking & managing changes in real time.
ā¢ Anticipate potential project roadblocks and proactively implement solutions in real time.
ā¢ Develop and maintain detailed project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements & management and key project documentation.
ā¢ Managing release cycles and launches through delivery and closeout.
Scrum Management
ā¢ Effectively facilitate or participate in agile scrum ceremonies across one or more scrum teams.
ā¢ Collaborate with the Product Management team to ensure the product backlog is continuously prioritized and maintained.
ā¢ Ensure proper acceptance criteria, definition of ready and done for requirements.
ā¢ Facilitate internal and external communications (e.g., task coordination, progress tracking/reporting, dependency management).
ā¢ Velocity tracking to ensure teams are working within expected capacity limits
Communication and Process/Operations:
ā¢ Demonstrate clear, concise, effective verbal and written communications.
ā¢ Lead the creation of project and product status updates for your teams based on a deep and continuously evolving understanding of the NBA's business and objectives.
Required Education/Professional Experience
ā¢ Minimum of 3+ years of experience in digital project management for consumer facing products
ā¢ Experience as a project manager in a digital or marketing environment.
ā¢ Strong Atlassian suite experience
ā¢ Expertise in modern project management tools and standard methodologies, such as Agile/CSM, Lean, and planning tools
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience
ā¢ Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
ā¢ Strong aVenton to detail and ability to lead multiple sub-projects at once.
ā¢ Team player; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
ā¢ Experience in developing a roadmap of requirements.
ā¢ Experience collaborating across teams to keep alignment on digital transformation efforts and assure collaboration and best practices.
ā¢ Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Highly Qualified Applicants will have:

ā¢ Relevant experience within the sports media industry
ā¢ Experience working with AVOD, TVOD and SVOD
ā¢ Familiarity with platform specific design guidelines and partner integrations
