Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Legislative Research Assistant to support the creation of legislative summary reports. This role is ideal for undergraduate students with an interest in public policy, political science, law, or local government affairs. The assistant will review and analyze Municipal Government agendas and legislative items, distilling complex legal and policy information into clear, concise reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Review Municipal Government agendas and legislative documents
Write legislative summaries and potential impact analyses in a clear, accessible format
Identify policy issues that may impact our clients and stakeholders
Ensure timely delivery of reports within designated deadlines
Conduct additional policy research as needed
Qualifications:
Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, or a related field
Strong research and analytical skills
Ability to write clearly and concisely at a professional level
Understanding of local government structures and legislative processes (preferred)
Interest in policy, governance, and public affairs
