Planning & Control Analyst - Hybrid (Andover, MA)

Enel North America is a leader in delivering sustainable energy solutions, and they are seeking a Planning and Control Analyst to assist in monitoring financial results and perform economic evaluations of strategic initiatives. The role involves budgeting, financial analysis, and preparing reports for senior management.ResponsibilitiesAssist in gathering and processing of raw data in collaboration with business lines for preparing monthly operational and financial analysis — mainly focused on Cash Flow, Net Financial Debt, and Financial ExpensesAssist in developing and distributing monthly budget vs actual reports to senior management for control purposesAssist in preparing accruals to ensure the month-end results show the clear and fair pictureAssist in elaborating and analyzing financial statements (P&L/BS/CF) with accounting knowledgeUtilize Hyperion and SAP softwareSupport in preparing and analyzing budget, forecast, 5-year plan and other financial dataInvestments financial valuation with proper methodologies (mainly DCF) in order to define main KPIs of the projects/strategic initiatives (IRR, NPV)Valuation of M&A opportunities with proper methodologies (Multiples, DCF, comparable transactions)Analyze investment assumptions provided by other departments or external providers, making sure of the robustness of the final assumptions of the investmentsPerform sensitivity analysis based on different scenariosIdentify and measure the impact of risks of investments to the value to shareholdersPrepare all the relevant documentation necessary for the Investment approval processManage advisors that support in financial modeling for purposes of bidding projects in tenders, or raising project financingSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related discipline0-2 years of relevant work experience, 2 years preferred but recent graduates will be consideredAnalytical ability with problem solving skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and qualityAdaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and changeAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communicationStrong interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively support and work well in a team and with people from different disciplinesProficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPointExperience in a multicultural environmentExperience with SAP (FI-CO module) and HyperionKnowledge of data analysis and forecasting methodsBenefitsAffordable, quality healthcare for you and your familyLife insurance and disability benefitsRetirement benefitsFlexible spending accountsTuition reimbursementProfessional development allowance401k with match fully vested as of day oneGenerous PTO that supports work/life balance including: 4 weeks annually of vacation as well as personal days, volunteer days, your birthday off, paid holidays, and sick time.Paid leave programsThe opportunity to grow and develop your career with the support and mentorship of senior leaders.Company OverviewEnel North America to help cities, companies, and consumers electrify their lives while combating the climate crisis.
