Pharmacy Technician II

Location: Position is remote. Candidate must live in CA, MO, TX, FL, NY
Position Purpose: Work with the Pharmacists to accurately prepare prescription orders in a timely manner
Ā Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis
Ā Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist
Ā Locate correct medication and strength to complete picking of order.
Ā Prepare, count, label, and package pharmaceuticals for Pharmacist approval
Ā Purchase, receive and coordinate inventory
Ā Maintain and update inventory recap report
Ā Retrieve discontinued or expired medications from stock; discard or return to stock as appropriate; complete corresponding documentation
Ā Maintain prescription logs
Ā Accurately calibrate equipment and document calibration according to policy
Ā Assist with the maintenance of pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs and documents maintenance
Ā Comply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements
Ā Performs other duties as assigned
Ā Complies with all policies and standards
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of pharmacy technician or medical office (i.e. biller, coder, office assistance, or prior authorization/certification) experience. Familiarity with drugs commonly used to treat chronic/debilitating illnesses.
AcariaHealth: State pharmacy technician license(s) relative to where the employee and assigned pharmacy are located (exception being NY where a pharmacy technician license is not required). License is required upon hire.

Pay Range: $19.04 - $32.35 per hour
