Pharmacy Technician Assistant

Job Summary:

CVS Health is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician Assistant to join our dynamic pharmacy team. This role plays a crucial part in supporting licensed pharmacists to ensure accurate dispensing of medications, maintaining pharmacy operations, and delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and passionate about helping patients manage their health effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist licensed pharmacists with prescription processing, including verifying patient information and medication details.
• Prepare and label medications accurately under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain inventory of prescription and over-the-counter medications, including restocking shelves and managing expiration dates.
• Handle pharmacy documentation, including prescription records, insurance claims, and inventory logs.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and guiding them through pharmacy processes.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and CVS Health regulations regarding pharmacy operations.
• Support pharmacy technicians and pharmacists in daily tasks to enhance workflow efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; pharmacy technician certification is a plus.
• Basic understanding of pharmacology and medication management.
• Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in performing tasks.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using pharmacy software and basic computer applications.

Experience:
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in customer service roles can be advantageous.

Working Hours:
• Full-time or part-time positions available.
• Flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends depending on pharmacy needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of medication names, dosages, and common side effects.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive patient information.
• Capacity to multitask and manage priorities under pressure.
