Pharmacy Practices Consultant LTE (Clinical Pharmacist LTE)

The Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Medicaid Services (DMS) is recruiting for a Clinical Pharmacist within the Bureau of Clinical Policy and Pharmacy (BCPP). This is a limited term employment (LTE) position is anticipated to work approximately 20 hours per week. The starting pay is up to $61.69 per hour depending on qualifications.
• LTE positions are not civil service classified positions, do not give any rights to a permanent civil service classified position and do not lead to permanent status.
• Wisconsin residency is required for LTE positions.
• No more than 1039 hours may be worked in a 12-month year.

This position has the ability to work remotely but may be required to report to an office location on occasion to complete certain tasks. This position can be headquartered at one of our central or regional offices. This schedule may vary based on training or operational need.

As a Clinical Pharmacist, this position will have responsibilities in the areas of program planning, research development, and policy development designed to promote program and departmental objectives in a large, complex healthcare division. This position offers clinical consultation and expertise for development of clinical standards and policies, and clinical liaison for division staff and health-related organizations. The Pharmacist will work within the Pharmacy Section of the Bureau of Clinical Policy and Pharmacy. The section develops and implements drug coverage and reimbursement policies for healthcare benefits included under the Wisconsin Medicaid, BadgerCare and SeniorCare programs.

Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Pharmacist in the State of Wisconsin. *Eligibility is defined as having your licensure in another state and being eligible to obtain licensure in Wisconsin. Wisconsin licensure is required by the time of appointment.
• Experience working as a licensed Pharmacist.
• Experience with the clinical review or research of drug therapies.

Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:
• Experience with the consultation on and development of pharmacy benefit policy or drug prior authorization.
• Experience serving as a clinical resource for best-practice guidelines and evidence-based information related to a pharmacy benefit.
