They are seeking a Pharmacy Logistics Specialist to assist in various activities of the pharmacy department, including maintaining patient records, optimizing delivery routes, and ensuring timely delivery of shipments.ResponsibilitiesMaintain patient recordsCreate driver routes to maximize deliveriesTrack and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and cost-effective shipping methodsCoordinate and collaborate with third party delivery services and intervene with exceptions to minimize product lossNotify patient and provider offices of delivery delaysCollaborate with pharmacists to ensure product stability in the event of delivery delaysCoordinate product replacementNotify Logistics & Fulfillment Supervisor and Pharmacist of delivery related issuesMaintain effective communication with driver and pharmacy teamTroubleshoot and resolve delivery issuesAssist with Pharmacy tasks as needed for packaging and shipping under the supervision of a pharmacistFunction in strict accordance with standard, written procedures and guidelines with deviation approved by the supervising pharmacistSkillsHigh school diploma or GED requiredOne (1) year of experience working in a high-volume pharmacy or logistics coordination or inventory management requiredEffective oral and written communication skills and an aptitude for working with other health care professionalsProven examples of displaying the Reliance values: Collaborative, Accessible, Results-Oriented, Empowering, and SupportiveNational Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferredExperience working with delivery exceptions and driver route creations preferredBenefitsFull range of benefitsGenerous paid time offCompany OverviewAs one of Western New York's first HMOs, Independent Health covers approximately 355,000 people here and across the country with more than 100 plans, services and products.
