The Pharmacy Business Support Internship involves collaborating with various teams to optimize processes, develop procedures, and support product rollouts within the pharmacy domain. Responsibilities Provide day to day experiences of collaboration and partnership with various leaders and teams; focus on small scale deliverables, building interpersonal relationships, exposure to cross divisional elements of the Wellmark organization Conduct side by sides with Pharmacy Business Support team to identify opportunities to streamline and optimize processes. Assist with development of desk level procedures and process maps to support recommendations Work closely with Pharmacy Business Support Seniors and Leads to develop a process to analyze call data and feedback loops to identify pain points in pharmacy-related inquiries Collaborate with Pharmacy Business Support Leads to develop a benefits guide and process for continual adds for new benefits Assist with current Pharmacy Business Support product rollout Skills Current junior, senior or grad student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Process Management, Healthcare Management, Public Health, Analytics or related field Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate recommendations to all levels of the organization Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to learn new systems quickly Ability to think critically and analytically Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships of collaboration and trust Strong organizational skills, self-starter, ability to prioritize and multi-task Previous experience creating business process maps or flow charts Prior experience in healthcare or previous internship or office experience Company Overview Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield and its subsidiaries provide health coverage to more than 2 million members in Iowa and South Dakota.
