Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring Pharmacy Technicians in Wisconsin! This role is work from home and all equipment is provided. Please note you must reside within Wisconsin for consideration. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration.
Type: 6-month contract, with opportunity to extend or full-time offer
Schedule: Monday through Friday, between 5 to 12am CST
Pay: $19 to $21.05 an hour
Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician:
ā¢ Respond to Prior Authorization Requests: Answer inbound calls (up to 50 to 70 calls per day) from providers/members and electronic inquiries related to prior authorizations (PAs) with a high level of professionalism, empathy, and customer service. Demonstrate the ability to accurately capture and verify information provided by prescribers, members, and pharmacies to support timely and compliant medication access decisions.
ā¢ Process and Review Authorization Requests: Efficiently process PA requests using multiple clinical information systems and platforms. Evaluate requests against established clinical criteria, formulary coverage, benefit design, and applicable regulations to determine coverage eligibility, ensuring accurate documentation and resolution.
ā¢ Support Clinical and Pharmacy Operations: Collaborate with pharmacists by gathering and summarizing member-specific clinical data necessary for consultations and coverage determinations. Ensure seamless handoffs and clear communication to support appropriate clinical review and outcomes.
ā¢ Ensure Compliance and Accuracy: Adhere to all internal policies, regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, URAC), and quality assurance standards when handling sensitive member and prescriber data. Regularly update records, audit trails, and member accounts in real-time to reflect accurate PA statuses and outcomes.
ā¢ Problem Resolution and Escalation: Proactively identify and resolve issues or complaints related to coverage, benefit interpretation, or prior authorization delays. Escalate complex cases appropriately, maintaining a member-first approach and striving for service excellence.
ā¢ Data Entry and Workflow Management: Maintain sharp attention to detail while entering data into electronic systems. Prioritize workload based on urgency and established service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring timely and consistent processing of all requests.
ā¢ Cross-Functional Communication: Interface professionally with physicians' offices, pharmacies, members, and internal teams to facilitate effective communication, resolve barriers to medication access, and uphold high customer satisfaction.
ā¢ Patient Safety and Quality of work is paramount and it's important for employees to have a safe and secure workspace and communicate with their leadership when that safety (equipment, system, information) is compromised
ā¢ Promote a culture of safety that is equitable, transparent, and engaging for patients, family caregivers, and healthcare workforce.

Qualifications for the Pharmacy Technician:
ā¢ HS Diploma or GED
ā¢ Active National (PTCB) and/or Wisconsin State Board of Pharmacy Technician Licensure
ā¢ 6 + months of Customer Service/Customer Relations with Healthcare professionals
ā¢ Able to work between 5am to 12 midnight, ability to work flexible hours, including OT and weekends
ā¢ Must live within Wisconsin for consideration
