Pet Care Specialist - Professional Pet Sitter / Dog Walker 02888 & 02889
About the position
Furry Fellas is hiring Part-Time Pet Care Specialists to provide services including pet care, dog walking, and pet sitting in Warwick, RI & surrounding areas (02888, 02889). The role will start with a gradual build-up to desired part-time hours, with needs for weekday mornings (7-10 am), evenings (5-9 pm), and/or weekends. The position offers hourly pay plus mileage and gratuities. The company, Furry Fellas Pet Service LLC, has been in business since 2006 and is recognized for its high-quality pet care services, including dog walking, pet sitting for dogs, cats, and other small animals, and overnight pet sitting. They were voted in the TOP 3 Pet Service Companies for 9 years in a row. The staff is expected to maintain a high level of professionalism, possess prior experience working/volunteering with animals, and have a genuine passion for animal care.
Responsibilities
• Visit client’s homes to care for their companions while they are at work or on vacation
• Walking and exercising dogs
• Letting dogs out for bathroom breaks
• Providing love & attention to pets
• Feeding pets
• Administering medication
• Providing fresh water
• Cleaning up after animals, including litter boxes
• Leave a note for clients after each visit detailing how the visits went
Requirements
• Experienced pet care professionals
• Own transportation
• Smartphone
• Daily internet access
• Able to pass background check
• Experienced with dogs of various sizes and energy levels AND/OR experienced with cats/other small animals
• Reliable transportation
• Own a smart phone
• Can work well independently
• Good communication skills/customer service skills
• Availability communicated clearly in advance and updated as needed
• Commitment to keeping scheduled pet sitting assignments
