We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Personal Tutor to join our Construction team. As a Personal Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting learners to achieve their full potential, developing their personal, social, and employability skills, and increasing progression to higher levels of study and employment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver the cross-college Thrive tutorial programme to support learners' personal and academic development
Monitor and track attendance, progress, and target setting to ensure learners achieve their goals
Provide 1:1 tutorial support, guidance, and mentoring to learners, including setting SMART targets and monitoring progress
Collaborate with curriculum staff, CRQ Leaders, and support departments to ensure learners receive comprehensive support
Support vulnerable learners, including those with special educational needs, and act as an advocate for their needs
Contribute to the development and delivery of curriculum-specific induction programs and support learners during the transition process
Embed the Learner Voice Involvement Strategy, ensuring learners have opportunities to share their views and provide feedback on college provision
What We Offer:
Competitive salary range: £23,194 - £25,340 per annum pro rata
11.1 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum
25 annual leave days, plus eight public bank holidays and five concessionary days

Requirements:
Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy qualification or above
Teaching qualification or willingness to gain
Experience in developing and delivering programs or support towards identified outcomes or objectives
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently face-to-face, on the telephone, via video call/Teams, and in writing
Familiarity with computer applications, particularly word processing, spreadsheet, and database software (ideally Office 365)
