Personal Injury Legal Assistant
Overview
We are seeking a loyal detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our small law firm. We handle only personal injury cases. The Legal Assistant will be a key player on the team and assist with all cases beginning to end. This position in 100% remote and 7 hours per day, 9am to 4pm, but gets paid for 8 hours.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Assist attorneys with daily administrative tasks.
ā¢ Docket deadlines.
ā¢ Format all pleadings and correspondence.
ā¢ Schedule depositions, hearings, and conference calls.
ā¢ File and E-file documents in State and Federal Courts.
ā¢ Assist with document management and file organization.
ā¢ Assist with trial preparation.
ā¢ Request medical records and police reports.
ā¢ Draft form letters and form legal documents.
ā¢ Answer phones 9am to 4pm Monday through Friday and act as the primary point of contact between clients, insurance companies and the attorney.
ā¢ Notarize documents.
Experience
ā¢ Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Willing to train.
ā¢ Personal injury experience preferred but not required.
ā¢ Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision.
ā¢ High proficiency in Word and Outlook.
ā¢ Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
