Personal Care Assistant
The Personal Care Assistant provides Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of daily living (IADLs) as assigned in an individuals care plan. Care is generally provided in the home, however, transportation, errands, and escort services may also be assigned as designated in an individuals care plan
Responsibilities...
Ā Providing outstanding home care for the committed client and assisting with the implementation of detailed, individualized weekly schedules and care plans
Perform everyday duties (ADLs) in a professional and safe manner.
Ā Offer personal company and stay involved with each customer by continuing to provide them with emotional and social assistance.
Ā Help with personal care duties such as feeding and meal preparation, light housework, incontinence care, mobility help, and personal hygiene. At all times, prioritize the well-being of your clients.
Ā As needed, arrange for transportation to and from appointments.
Ā Administrative duties like reporting changes in the client's health state, mental capacity, or conduct and documenting the accomplishment of tasks
Qualifications:
Ā Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA) Certification
Ā Experience with Alzheimer's or dementia care
Ā Valid Basic Life Support Training (CPR) certification
Ā TB screening/PPD chest X-ray
Ā Must have a valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation
Ā Must possess empathy, compassion, and kindness
Ā Ability to use sound judgment and remain calm in various situations
Ā Reliability, dependability, and punctuality are essential
Ā Basic computer skills and technical savviness
Ā Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
Ā Ability to pass a background check and provide references
