Performance Tester / LoadRunner Engineer-100% Remote
Job Title: Performance Tester / LoadRunner Engineer Location: USA Remote Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Performance Tester / LoadRunner Engineer to design, execute, and analyze performance, load, stress, and scalability tests for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Micro Focus LoadRunner, Performance Center, JMeter, and performance monitoring tools. This role is responsible for identifying bottlenecks, measuring system behavior under load, and ensuring applications meet performance SLAs. Key Responsibilities Performance Testing & Engineering • Design and develop performance test scripts using LoadRunner (VuGen) or LoadRunner Cloud. • Conduct load, stress, endurance, scalability, and spike tests. • Prepare detailed test plans, scenarios, and workloads based on requirements. • Execute tests using LoadRunner Controller / Performance Center. Monitoring & Analysis • Monitor server, network, and application behavior using tools like: • AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, SiteScope, Splunk • APM tools and OS-level monitoring • Identify performance bottlenecks across application layers. • Analyze test results and prepare performance reports. Scripting & Correlation • Develop advanced scripts with parameterization, correlation, and dynamic data handling. • Troubleshoot script failures and fine-tune scripts for accuracy and scalability. Collaboration • Work closely with developers, DevOps, infrastructure, and QA teams to diagnose issues. • Participate in performance tuning and optimization discussions. • Assist in capacity planning and scalability assessments. Documentation & Reporting • Create detailed performance test reports with findings and recommendations. • Maintain testing artifacts, scripts, scenarios, and execution logs. • Present results to stakeholders and support UAT/performance sign-off. Required Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 2 5+ years of experience in performance testing and LoadRunner tools. • Strong hands-on experience with: • LoadRunner VuGen (Web/HTTP, TruClient, SAP, Oracle, or other protocols) • LoadRunner Controller / Performance Center • JMeter (optional but valuable) • Proficiency in programming or scripting languages: C, Java, JavaScript, or Python. • Good understanding of networking fundamentals, HTTP/S protocols, and system architecture. • Ability to analyze logs, memory usage, CPU, DB queries, and application server metrics. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with cloud-based performance testing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform). • Familiarity with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). • Knowledge of SQL and ability to analyze database performance. • Experience with APM tools (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic). • Certifications (optional but beneficial): • LoadRunner Certification • ISTQB Performance Testing • Performance Engineering certifications Apply tot his job
