Performance Quality Engineer
mroads is looking for a "Performance Quality Engineer" for one of the direct clients in Bethesda, MD. This is a remote opportunity with the client.
Role Summary
ā¢ Join the Enterprise Quality Engineering organization as a Senior Quality Engineer within the Performance Tower.
ā¢ This role is responsible for driving performance testing excellence, leading initiatives that ensure robust, scalable, and high-performing enterprise applications.
ā¢ You will collaborate across architecture, engineering, and operations teams to deliver outcomes through advanced QE automation and performance methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
ā¢ Lead Performance Testing Initiatives: Guide the implementation and execution of performance testing strategies using tools such as Neoload, K6, dynatrace, grail and grafana.
ā¢ Drive Automation and DevSecOps Integration in Enterprise Performance Quality Engineering: Champion the adoption of test automation and DevSecOps tools (e.g., Git, JIRA, Ant, Maven, Harness) to streamline performance validation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with highly technical architecture, engineering, and operations teams to resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize system efficiency.
ā¢ Methodology Leadership: Guide teams in adopting BDD, TDD, and related software development approaches to enhance performance outcomes.
ā¢ Stakeholder Communication: Deliver clear, actionable insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical
ā¢ stakeholders.
ā¢ Governance and Risk Management: Oversee deployment governance for performance-critical applications, ensuring
ā¢ transparency and minimizing risks.
Required Skills & Experience
ā¢ Proven experience with performance testing tools (Neoload, K6) and automation frameworks. Very good experience in identifying performance issues and root cause analysis using APM tools such as Dynatrace grail and Grafana.
ā¢ Experience with DevSecOps tools and practices. Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
ā¢ Ability to guide implementation of BDD, TDD, and related approacnes. Undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience/certification.
Preferred Qualifications
ā¢ Demonstrated success leading medium- to large-scale performance initiatives or transformations.
ā¢ Proven knowledge of Agile methodology (preferably SAFe Agile).
ā¢ Experience with mixed and offshore delivery models.
ā¢ Strong process management, negotiation, and problem resolution skills.
ā¢ Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments.
ā¢ Understanding business environment, service requirements, and hospitality culture.
ā¢ Ability to. assess client needs, creatively approach solutions, and influence appropriate courses of action
ā¢ Ability to communicate technology lifecycles and strategies.
