People Operations Leader

Summary The premier luxury lifestyle company featured in Forbes is seeking a People Operations Lead to serve as the connective layer between the CEO and the rest of the organization. This role is a blend of People Ops, internal Chief of Staff, and leadership development. You will build the team, train managers, strengthen accountability, improve onboarding, run hiring pipelines, manage KPIs, and take over the internal workflow and questions that currently go to the CEO. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who thrives on structure, clarity, coaching, and building a high-performing team in a luxury service environment. Role Overview You will design and manage the systems that help the team perform at a high standard. You will ensure the CEOรขย€ย™s time is protected by serving as the primary point of contact for internal questions, decisions, and follow-up. You will raise the bar for leadership, communication, and performance across the team. Key Responsibilities Leadership Support รขย€ยข Act as the first stop for internal questions, decisions, and clarifications. รขย€ยข Translate the CEOรขย€ย™s priorities into clear instructions and expectations. รขย€ยข Follow up with team members to ensure deadlines and deliverables stay on track. รขย€ยข Manage internal communication flow so the CEO is only involved when necessary. Team Management and Accountability รขย€ยข Run weekly team meetings, check-ins, and accountability rhythms. รขย€ยข Hold team members and managers accountable to deadlines, KPIs, and quality standards. รขย€ยข Identify performance gaps early and address them with structure or coaching. รขย€ยข Support managers in becoming stronger leaders who own their teams. Hiring and Onboarding รขย€ยข Manage hiring pipelines, coordinate interviews, and screen candidates. รขย€ยข Build structured onboarding processes, success metrics, and 60-day plans. รขย€ยข Create clarity for new hires through documentation, checklists, and expectations. รขย€ยข Ensure every new hire is trained effectively and fully integrated. Training and Development รขย€ยข Build and deliver training programs for both managers and ICs. รขย€ยข Coach managers on feedback, delegation, leadership, and communication. รขย€ยข Create internal training materials, playbooks, and learning paths. รขย€ยข Lead performance reviews and ensure clear development plans. KPI and Performance Managemen t รขย€ยข Define KPIs and scorecards in collaboration with leadership. รขย€ยข Track performance metrics and provide insights to the CEO. รขย€ยข Ensure each team member knows their responsibilities and metrics. รขย€ยข Improve dashboards, reporting tools, and performance rhythms. Process Improvement รขย€ยข Build and document SOPs, policies, and workflows across the team. รขย€ยข Identify bottlenecks and operational inefficiencies and improve them. รขย€ยข Standardize internal communication for clarity and predictability. รขย€ยข Ensure systems scale with the companyรขย€ย™s growth. Requirements รขย€ยข 3 plus years in People Ops, HR, Chief of Staff, or Operations roles. รขย€ยข Experience training managers and running performance systems. รขย€ยข Strong background in hiring, onboarding, and team development. รขย€ยข Highly comfortable with KPIs, scorecards, and performance reviews. รขย€ยข Skilled in Monday.com, Google Workspace, documentation, and communication tools. รขย€ยข Available during EST hours (8am to 5pm) with flexibility for time-sensitive issues.
