C1 Staffing is a rapidly growing light-industrial staffing company, managing over 350 full-time workers with plans to scale to over $40M in annual payroll by the end of Q2. Were seeking a proactive and experienced Payroll Specialist to help us build out and refine payroll processes as we grow.
Responsibilities:
Process weekly payroll for all temp workers, ensuring accuracy in hours and invoicing.
Manage workers compensation and payroll tax filings.
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee inquiries promptly.
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline payroll systems and enhance efficiency.
Who Were Looking For:
A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can take initiative to improve and build systems.
Someone who works well with others and is eager to collaborate across departments.
A professional who can eventually lead a payroll team as we scale.
Experience in a startup or high-growth company is appreciated but not required.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role.
Strong understanding of payroll procedures, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency with payroll software.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Compensation:
Base Salary: $60,000 - $80,000/year
Incentives: Performance-based bonuses and opportunities for growth.
