Key Responsibilities Process salaried pay transactions, attendance tracking, and fringe benefit administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Assist the Payroll Officer with all aspects of payroll development, providing technical expertise, research, and assistance to colleagues, employees, and administrators. Administer retirement, health insurance, worker's compensation, FMLA, and PFML, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Provide support and guidance to employees and administrators on payroll-related matters, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with district policies and procedures. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must possess: A strong understanding of payroll processing, benefits administration, and relevant laws and regulations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. Proficiency in payroll software and systems, with the ability to learn new technologies. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working in a payroll or benefits administration role, preferably in an educational setting. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including FMLA, PFML, and worker's compensation. Certification in payroll or a related field, such as CPP or FPC. Experience working with a remote team, demonstrating self-motivation and discipline.
