Discover our vibrant culture to get an inside look into life at Ware Malcomb and the programs we offer. https://waremalcomb.com/life-at-ware-malcomb/The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the payroll functions to ensure pay is processed on time and accurately in the U.S., Mexico and Canada under the direction of the Director, Human Resources. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: processing annual performance reviews, personnel action notices, pay changes, benefits (including 401(k), garnishments, and bonuses. Your Role Oversee the daily workflow of the payroll team. Ensure compliance with government regulations in the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Ensure all team members’ payroll records are accurately maintained and updated in partnership with the payroll team. Provide excellent customer service to all team members in partnership with the Human Resources team when resolving payroll issues for U.S., Canada and Mexico. Review and assess efficiencies for payroll processing such as earnings, deductions, garnishments, etc. Ensure final checks are accurately created in a timely manner for separating team members. Register, set up and maintain payroll taxes with HRIS vendor(s). Backup to process U.S., Canada and Mexico payroll on a semi-monthly basis. Oversight of annual 401(k) audit by providing records and documentation to auditors.Oversight of semi-monthly payroll audit. Create payroll analytics.Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, system, and procedures. Communicate frequently with the Director, Human Resources on the day-to-day of the payroll team. Support and partner with the Director, Human Resources.Support specialized payroll-related projects as assigned. Qualifications Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.Strong problem-solving and auditing skills are essential.Thrives on thinking outside the box and has a continuous improvement mindset.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to positively interface with all levels of team members is essential.Ability to achieve results under tight deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks is essential.Well-organized, detail-oriented, and confidential are essential traits required of the individual. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 5 pounds at timesRegular attendance at work is required The compensation range is $100-$120k, plus benefits. At Ware Malcomb certain roles are bonus eligible.
