Payroll Clerk / Agent - REMOTE (Part-Time & Full-Time)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Clerk to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will handle payroll processing, employee records, and related administrative tasks to ensure accurate and timely compensation for all employees. Both part-time and full-time opportunities are available. Key Responsibilities Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll for all employees in accordance with company policies and federal/state regulations. Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, deductions, and changes. Verify timekeeping data and ensure hours worked are accurately recorded and approved. Calculate wages, benefits, bonuses, commissions, and reimbursements as applicable. Handle payroll adjustments, garnishments, and deductions. Prepare payroll reports for management, accounting, and auditing purposes. Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and benefits. Assist with year-end tax forms (W-2, 1099, etc.) and ensure compliance with all payroll laws. Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred). 1–3 years of experience in payroll processing or accounting. Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, Gusto, or similar). Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and payroll compliance. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidentiality. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office tools. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment. Schedule Compensation Schedule: Flexible; part-time (20–25 hours/week) or full-time (40 hours/week) options available. Location: 100% Remote – work from anywhere within the U.S. Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience, with potential for benefits (depending on employment status).
